UMN Homecoming

The tradition on Homecoming at the University of Minnesota dates all the way back to 1914 when the first Homecoming game was played (and won) against the Wisconsin Badgers.

Fast forward more than 100 years and we still celebrate Homecoming at the U with a week celebrations across campus. For 2023, I took the theme "Maroon & Gold Forever" and created a design full of vintage logos, retro design elements and nostalgic fonts that appealed to alumni and current students alike.

Tad Carpenter Poster

Tad Carpenter is a designer, illustrator, author and teacher based in Kansas City, Missouri. He has illustrated many children’s books and designed over 200 gig posters. In addition to his personal work, he is a partner at Carpenter Collective.

In February of 2019, Tad visited the University of Minnesota Duluth to speak as a part of the Department of Art and Design's Visual Culture Lecture Series. I had the honor of designing the poster to advertise his visit.
